Coming Soon: NMWIF Mentor Program

NMWIF is pleased to announce our new mentor program, coming this Fall 2018! The member mentor program is a members-only opportunity for experienced and new NMWIF members to connect, learn, and network. Experienced film professionals will be able to mentor new filmmakers, screenwriters, producers, cinematographers, and more. Newer filmmakers will get the opportunity to work one-on-one with a mentor and learn about the film and TV industry.

Members Doing Great Things

NMWIF member Suan Salter is the president of the planning committee for the NM Film Foundation. They just had their big fundraiser for the year called the "Summer Soiree," it was a successful event with a great turn out. All money raised was given to NM film writers. IN addition, she participated in the 48 hour film festival with CCG.

Student member Cynthia Kemp is currently shooting “Stardust Memory,” a script that she wrote, produced, and directed.

NMWIF member Shebana Coelho recently performed The Good Manners of Colonized Subjects, a spoken dance performance in Santa Fe. She is currently working on firming up dates for upcoming performances in October in Honolulu, Hawaii and Albuquerque. To learn more, go to:

Currently, Kristin Goodman and Alexandra Renzo are in development for a feature film they aim to shoot in New Mexico next summer 2019. The feature was written by Kristin and will be directed by Kristin. Alexandra will produce. Ashley Watson is on board to produce in some capacity along with Alessandra Khalsa set to edit and Dyanna Taylor set to DP. The film is called Tucumcari and will most likely be shot near and around Santa Fe. It is a low budget feature comedy/drama about a dysfunctional family navigating the criminal and emotional fallout after a family member's unexpected death. To learn more, go to:
