2017 Sage Awards
The annual Sage Award was created by NMWIF to honor a person who is dedicated to the 'greater feminine' and active in supporting women in the film and TV industry. We are very proud of our recipients who have received the Sage Awards since its inception: Shirley MacLaine, Lisa Strout, Ann Lerner, Ali MacGraw, Ana Gallegos y Reinhart, Jo Edna Boldin, Monique Anair, and Julia Cameron.
This year’s Sage Award will honor Trish Lopez, whose dedication to diversity and leadership in the film industry is unparalleled.
At the Sage Award ceremony, NMWIF will announce the award winners of the 2017 Scholarship Grant Program for Members. We will also honor our volunteers from the past year, and announce a special gift to NMWIF.

"The New Mexico Women in Film Scholarship has really helped me pursue my dreams of working in film. Thanks to NMWIF’s Scholarship, I was able to take the classes I needed to finish my film degree. Those classes helped me learn more about the filmmaking process and what it takes to make a good film. After I completed my film degree, I had the tools necessary to start working on my own films and hope to complete two of them by September. Thanks NMWIF for helping me get my education and achieve my dreams. "
