October 2014 Newsletter

Letter From the President:
Dear Members, Friends and Supporters,

Wow, NM Women in Film is literally buzzing with excitement with so many things going on! First, I must thank the wonderful women on our Board of Directors who spend many hours every week making the wheels turn in our organization. It is a joy to be associated and friends with each and every one of them. Next time you see one of our board members, please give them a thank you and a big hug for all they do. I'm personally grateful for their time, creative energy and wonderful talents of working together as a group - and always having my back. It takes a village.

After our two greatly successful events in September to kick off our Woman in the Story Screenwriting Competition, this month - we're having a big party! Our third annual NM Film TV & Media Mixer on Sunday, October 26. See the announcement below and get your tickets on our website. The beautiful new Drury Plaza Hotel in Santa Fe is hosting our event this year. This allows us to use all proceeds to fund our NMWIF Scholarships for the coming year. Join us and see this historic property in the heart of Santa Fe and rub elbows with the industry movers and shakers in our state. Maybe you'll win one of our many great door prizes.

2015 is NMWIF's 10th Anniversary! The Board is busy planning some amazing events, so stay tuned as things come together. Hope you are all enjoying this gorgeous Fall weather and the glorious golden aspen!

Keep writing those screenplays for our contest. See you at our big event on October 26. It's a party!!

Kindest regards,
Linda McDill
