New Mexico Women in Film
Holiday Clothing Drive

NM Women in Film kicked off our 2010 Holiday Clothing Drive this month with special guest Judy Blume. If you are interested in donating to help local homeless children, please bring clean and good-condition warm winter clothing for donation at one of the following locations by Monday, December 20th:

 
SANTA FE
Sunflower Markets at DeVargas Center and on Zafarano Drive
Flying Star Restaurant in the Railyard District
IATSE Local 480 Office, Cerrilllos Road


ALBUQUERQUE
Channel 26/27 Offices – Downtown Civic Plaza
Albuquerque Studios
South Valley Academy
1-25 Studios


Donations will benefit the Youth and Family Shelter in Santa Fe, and shelters for youth and families in Albuquerque. For the second year, we are partnering with IATSE Local 480, Sunflower Markets in Santa Fe, Flying Star Café in Santa Fe, and Channel 26/27 in Albuquerque. Donation boxes will also be available if you would like to place one in your area of business during the holiday season.

NM Women in Film: SAGE AWARD 2011
NMWIF Members: Please take this opportunity to nominate your favorite female for our 2011 Sage Award!

The Sage Award was created by NM Women in Film four years ago to honor a person of great integrity who is active in supporting women in the film industry as well as a humanitarian in her own right.

Past award recipients have included:
Shirley MacLaine, Lisa Strout, Ann Lerner and Ali MacGraw.

All NMWIF members in good standing are welcome to nominate any person or persons of their choosing. The NMWIF Board of Directors will vote on all nominees by secret ballot, and the winner will be presented with the Sage Award at our March 2011 Showcase in honor of International Women's Day - a collaboration between NMWIF, Women in Film & Television International and NM Women in the Arts. Please send nominee's name, contact info, and a personal statement advising why you believe they would be a good candidate to: nmwifinfo@gmail.com.

All nominations must be received by December 31, 2010.
