Women Make Movies Fiscal Scholarship

Fiscal Sponsorship is designed for women filmmakers who are actively fundraising for their film or video project and need 501(c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt status. Your project must be a non-commercial film, video or multimedia project. The project director must be a woman. You must be a U.S. citizen, have a Social Security or Federal ID number.

The Miller/Packan Documentary Film Fund

The Rogovy Foundation funds projects that are transformational, with enlightening narratives and inspiring characters. We support documentary film as an instrument for change, delivering greater knowledge, compassion and awareness. Listening and understanding bring us together. Awarded bi-annually, the Fund will award grants totaling $150,000 to between six and ten film projects. The Summer open call ends May 15th, and the Winter open call ends November 15.

SFFS Documentary Film Fund

The SFFS Documentary Film Fund (DFF) supports riveting documentaries in postproduction distinguished by compelling stories, intriguing characters and an innovative visual approach.

Since its launch in 2011, the SFFS Documentary Film Fund has distributed more than $450,000 to advance new work by filmmakers nationwide.

Points North Fellowship

The Points North Fellowship is a unique opportunity for six documentary filmmakers (or filmmaking teams) to develop their feature-length works-in-progress through a combination of focused industry mentorship, workshops, meetings and a public pitch session at the Camden International Film Festival.

Women in Film/Netflix Finishing Fund

The Women In Film Finishing Fund gives grants to filmmakers working in both short and long formats, in all genres - narrative, documentary, animated and experimental. To apply for the Finishing Fund, the filmmaker must have completed 90% of principal photography and have a rough cut at the time of application.

Digital Bolex Grant for Women Cinematographers

The Digital Bolex Grant for Women Cinematographers offers approximately $10,000 worth of gear and accessories loaned on a rolling basis to any narrative short, music video, or feature film project to be shot by a female cinematographer. Recipients of the grant receive a loaned camera package for up to 21 production days.
